Online Retailers Switch to Fluid from Scene7 and Discover Increased Sales, Lower Costs and the Best Service in the Industry

The combination of outstanding support, ease of use and significant costs savings make the decision to switch easy and painles

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., September 1, 2009 – Fluid, Inc., developers of innovative online retail solutions that drive customer conversion and brand loyalty, has recently migrated a number of online retailers who had previously implemented Adobe Scene7 rich media solutions to the Fluid Experience merchandising solution. Companies converting to Fluid Experience cite a number of reasons for the switch, including Fluid’s track record of rapid deployment, world-class customer support, easier-to-use technology and lower cost. Fluid Experience not only delivers enhanced interactive merchandising but also significantly reduces the ongoing burden typically placed on production staff. Features include dynamic product display with zoom, multiple views, rotation and easy color change, as well as capabilities like shoppable lifestyle imagery, interactive cross-sells and up-sells, and single-source product photography.

Cloudveil, a Jackson, Wyoming-based maker of inspired mountain and angling apparel and formerly a high profile Scene7 reference customer, recently completed a lightning-fast conversion to Fluid Experience from Scene7. Cloudveil was concerned about timing, requiring implementation to be completed in no more than two-and-a-half weeks. Fluid delivered in less than 10 days. "Our experience with Fluid has been outstanding," said Suzie Hultman, Cloudveil’s Senior Marketing Manager. "Not only did Fluid complete the implementation in record time, but Fluid Experience is easier to use, the images are served to our customers more quickly, and our costs have dropped dramatically."

Women's specialty-apparel retailer Boston Proper, a member of the Internet Retailer Top 500, learned about Fluid while searching for alternatives to Scene7 while planning for the creation and rollout of a completely redesigned site. Boston Proper's VP of eCommerce, Margaret Moraskie, knew that the new site would require an exceptional product at an extremely competitive price. "Our customers depend on us to get the product image details quickly and correctly every time," said Moraskie, "Fluid had the ideal product for our new site, for our customers and our brand, and has some of the best customer service in the business."

Don McCormick, president of Sacramento-based Healthcare Inspirations, was drawn to Fluid by the elegant design of the product. "Fluid Experience is extremely powerful and feature-rich, has a logical, intuitive interface, yet is simple enough that a non-technical marketer can master it quickly," said McCormick. "Cost is very important to us, but what won us over was Fluid’s unfailing dedication to the success of our business."

"We’ve had the opportunity to help a large number of online retailers quickly make the move to Fluid Experience so they can continue to focus on doing what they do best – marketing and selling their great products," said Brian Biggs, director of product management for Fluid, Inc. "With the combination of rapid implementation, great service and extremely competitive costs that only Fluid can deliver, we’re in a unique position to still help online retailers prepare for success this holiday selling season."
