Fluid Launches Five New Retail Sites in 2007

Top brands and retailers across industries partner with Fluid to deliver new, category-leading sites.

Bare Escentuals – The top provider of all-natural cosmetics, Bare Escentuals works with Fluid on an ongoing basis to help it define, execute and manage its branded online retail strategy. Most recently, Fluid worked with Bare Escentuals to design and deploy BareMinerals.com and Store.BareEscentuals.com. Both sites also leverage the Fluid Display product. BareMinerals.com provides a focused, richly merchandised product shopping experience that supports the Bare Minerals direct response driven sales approach by extending the in-store, consultative quality of service online. Store.BareEscentuals.com, designed and deployed in less than ten weeks, provides an initial cost-effective yet compelling entry into direct-to-consumer sales for the broader Bare Escentuals product line. Already delivering strong results, over time the site will develop into a major growth channel for Bare Escentuals.

ChefsCatalog.com – Fluid worked with leading online cooking retailer Chef’s Catalog to redesign their site from the ground up. The new site leverages the Fluid Retail interactive merchandising product suite to deliver a compelling Web 2.0 shopping experience. In a recent ForeSee Results study, the new site dramatically outscored industry customer satisfaction benchmarks for merchandising, look and feel, performance, and overall site experience.

FineStationery.com – Fine Stationery revolutionized the stationery industry when it launched in 2001 as the first site to sell customized stationery online. Over the following five years, Fine Stationery grew to become a national leader in the customized stationery industry. Realizing it was time to upgrade the FineStationery.com customer experience and supporting backend systems, Fine Stationery turned to Fluid for both customer experience design expertise, systems consultation, and integration of Fluid’s Display and Scroller products for online retail. The resulting site has delivered significant sales velocity and has again set a new bar for the industry.

Shop.Sanrio.com – Fluid partnered with Sanrio’s interactive advertising agency, Real Branding, and leading software-as-a-service ecommerce platform vendor Demandware to deliver a playful and engaging new shopping experience for Sanrio, a world-wide designer and distributor of character-branded stationery, school supplies, gifts, and accessories famous for its Hello Kitty line of products. The new site replaces an existing online retail presence that was outdated, difficult to manage, and not representative of the fun, colorful and personalized nature of the Sanrio brand.

LeapFrog – LeapFrog tapped Fluid to design a custom store-front for its breakthrough FLY Fusion™ Pentop computer. The pentop computer, used by thousands of kids worldwide, synchronizes with desktop computing software for managing homework, notes, music, games and more. Fluid designed an online storefront that integrates directly with the FLY World™ Application for easy purchase and download of programs and content that extend the FLY pentop computer’s capabilities.
