Junonia, a leading online retailer of plus-size activewear and one of Internet Retailer Magazine's "Top 500 Online Retailers", uses Concept Display to create an entertaining and immersive shopping experience, instantly providing the product imagery and information shoppers need to move from browsing to purchase.
While redesigning its site, Junonia selected Fluid's Concept Display to enable interactive shopping features such as zoom, color change and multiple views for over 500 products throughout their catalog. Concept Display let Junonia leverage its existing catalog imagery across their site, making the most of their photography investment and establishing continuity between the catalog and online channels.
In addition, Fluid took Junonia's single-color source images and implemented color-change interactivity on each Concept Display-enabled photo - resulting in an average of three color changes for each of Junonia's products. By using Concept Display to present its products, Junonia now offers a more engaging -- and compelling -- shopping experience that better supports its brand mission.
Concept Display's flexibility was the key to the success of the Junonia implementation. To maximize interactivity while using existing assets, Fluid varied the amount of zoom for each product display, depending on the resolution of source images. They also used 'model' and 'lifestyle' images when high-resolution product images were not available. The Concept Display authoring environment simplified and automated almost every aspect of the production process, allowing the Junonia team to stay focused on the strategic aspects of their redesign.
"Even though the site has only been up a few weeks, we've already seen some very impressive gains," said Tom Lindmeier, Junonia's director of e-commerce. "We had projected that the site upgrades would result in a 10% conversion increase over May 2006 numbers, but we've already seen a 30% increase. All our other performance indicators have shown improvement as well, including dollars per visit, average order value, shopping carts per visit and abandoned carts. We've also seen an overall improvement in our search engine rankings, including a 25% increase in demand sales related to natural search."
