Senior Designer (SF)

Fluid is searching for a Senior Interactive Designer or Designer with the passion, talent and experience to create truly innovative web experiences. We are looking for a concept-driven visual problem solver with rock-solid design chops and a desire to define the next generation of consumer shopping experiences for digital retail.

At Fluid you will be responsible for creating interactive experiences for global consumer brands such as The North Face, Vans, JanSport, Calvin Klein, Lucky Brand, Reebok, Craftsman, and Kenmore.

As Interactive Senior Designer or Role-Level Designer, you will perform in a supportive design role on select accounts from concept to launch. You will be hands-on and conceptual, creating multiple design solutions as well as working collaboratively with your team – which will include other designers, user experience, account management, project management and production artists. You will work closely with your Creative Director, ACD, Art Director and clients throughout a project – interpreting creative requirements, executing design deliverables. The proven ability to balance multiple projects successfully and collaborate across disciplines is critical in our cross-functional environment.

Experience:

  • Hands-on experience creating exceptional digital brand experiences
  • 1 - 3+ years experience in an interactive agency or working directly for a nationally recognized consumer brand
  • Contributing as Designer on a client team, with a track record for developing strong working relationships, applying given creative direction, understanding client goals, creating brand-appropriate solutions and presenting creative concepts.
  • Direct experience creating pure brand interactive, social and viral
  • Degree in interactive, graphic design or animation (highly desired but not required)dio environment
  • Degree in interaction design or animation (highly desired)

Responsibilities:

  • Follow creative direction, establish design patterns and extensions
  • Interpret and translate wireframes into tangible and compelling experiences
  • Work collaboratively with UX, copywriters, project management, other designers and production team
  • Communicates proactively, checking in with CD, PM, Art Director and UX team to present progress at various stages of completion
  • Prepare detailed and accurate specifications for projects
  • Follow (and when necessary) create interactive style guides
  • Prepare files for HTML, Flash or Production
  • Articulate ideas, exhibiting a proactive personality
  • Stays abreast of technological innovations in graphic design, online shopping and social media

Essentials:

  • Passion for innovation!
  • Expertise in visual design, interaction design AND motion design
  • Intermediate to expert hands-on knowledge of Adobe CS suite
  • Have an online portfolio of beautifully designed motion-based work
  • Rigorous attention to detail and personal organization a must
  • Respectful and clear communicator
  • A reasonably good sense of humor
