You are an Information Designer with 1-2 years experience and an interest or experience in eCommerce, and you want to engage customers in interactive online experiences involving online retail and social media. As an Information Designer on our expanding Information and Interaction Design team based in our San Francisco, CA headquarters, you'll contribute your growing interaction design skills to exciting digital projects for internationally recognized brands. You have experience working on interdisciplinary teams, including developers and visual designers, and you are a team-player who thrives on collaboration and iterative design. Your portfolio includes sitemaps, flow diagrams, wireframes, and prototypes showcasing how you have contributed to crafting rich, interactive, and compelling experiences, and you should be able to talk to us about your role and contributions on those projects, how you worked with the project team, and your involvement and communications with your clients.
You understand the value of design patterns, yet your work is not just the repetitious application of the same patterns. Instead, you understand how to adapt the appropriate design patterns to meet a client’s unique brand and business needs. You understand how to construct intuitive navigation systems, and you may even have experience with defining taxonomies and metadata models. Best practices and design principles are core to your process for both highly engaging interactive sites as well as traditional content sites, and you are understand how to design for different technologies, including AJAX and Flash.
